Pane › Cursor usage tracker

Cursor usage tracker

How many requests you have left, when the quota turns over, and what the month is costing you, sitting in your tray instead of behind the editor.

Windows 10/11 · MIT licensed · No account · Reads Cursor's local state

The number you want is one layer too deep

Cursor counts in requests, and the count lives inside the editor and your account page. That is fine until you are mid-refactor and want to know whether to keep going or switch models, at which point stopping to go and look is exactly the interruption you were trying to avoid.

It also makes comparing impossible. Cursor counts requests, Claude counts sessions, Codex counts a weekly allowance. Three units, three places, no shared picture of what you are actually spending.

What Pane shows you

Requests remaining as a percentage bar with the reset time, refreshed automatically every few minutes.

Pace warnings when your rate through the current window will run the quota out before it resets.

Live tray number. Star the metric and Cursor's remaining percentage renders directly next to your clock.

Shared spend. Cursor's usage joins the Today / Yesterday / 30-day donut with everything else, priced at live model rates, so you can finally compare tools in one unit: money.

How it connects to Cursor

Pane reads Cursor's own local state database on your PC and its account API, the same sources the editor itself uses. There is no key to paste. Nothing about your code or prompts is read, only the usage counters, and none of it leaves your machine except the request to Cursor's own API.

Questions

How do I see how many Cursor requests I have left?

Install Pane. It reads Cursor's own local state database and account API, then shows your remaining requests and the reset time in the Windows system tray.

Do I have to open Cursor to check my usage?

No. Pane runs in the tray independently, so the number is there whether the editor is open or not, and you can pin it as a live tray icon.

Can I track Cursor alongside Claude and Codex?

Yes. Pane shows 21 providers in one popover, so Cursor sits next to Claude, Codex, Copilot and the rest with a shared spend total underneath.
